Leslie first heard about Koko FitClub from a friend, who had been a member of a club and had seen great results. He told her all about and said, "You should open one." The rest is history. Leslie built her first club in Alamo Heights in 2014, her second in Leon Springs in 2015, and her third club in Stone Oak in 2017.
Why Koko? Leslie is a wife and mother of 3 girls. She loves staying busy, working, volunteering, and working out. Koko gave her the ability to have a customized workout on her schedule that was manageable, efficient, and effective. It's size and design also allowed her to build and foster a fitness community of people who want to live a healthier, happier life.
While the workouts and technology first drew her to Koko, the people, the members who have become like family are what sustain her as a small business owner. Their smiles, hard work, and accomplishments drive her to make Koko FitClub the best place to workout in San Antonio.
In addition to Koko, Leslie works to promote healthy living by volunteering as the VP of Health and Wellness for the Cambridge Elementary PTO Board, serving as co-troop leader for two Girl Scout troops in San Antonio, and working on committees related to health and fitness in the Junior League of San Antonio.
Before Koko, Leslie worked as an English professor after earning a PhD in English literature. She taught and worked in higher education for over 10 years.
She enjoys running, playing tennis, traveling, cooking Cajun food, having coffee dates with friends, and exploring San Antonio.
